This role is part of the HEARTS project and starts with a two-year contract, with the chance to extend or become permanent. Your tasks
- Design, implement, and operate scalable inference services within a multi-tenant HPC infrastructure
- Play a key role in the architecture, deployment, operation, and documentation of production-grade inference platforms
- Support a wide range of AI-driven workloads for researchers and engineers
- Help improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of inference services
- Enable deployment and running of advanced models at scale
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering, computer science, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Experience deploying services on Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform/openTofu)
- Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD processes (e.g., Gitlab CI, HashiCorp Vault)
- Preferred: Experience with versioning systems and CI/CD workflows such as ArgoCD, automated installation systems for physical servers (e.g., MAAS or Foreman), developing Ansible configurations, or developing services on top of Kubernetes
- Self-motivated, proactive team player
- Strong communication skills or willingness to develop them
- Problem-solving mindset, comfortable with uncertainty and change
- Collaborative and adaptive, open to learning new technologies
- Experience working in self-organized teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Experience with test-driven development is a plus
