Deine Aufgaben

  • Lead and manage a global team of 6-8 Medical Project Managers supporting oncology projects from early to launch stages.
  • Set clear performance goals with business partners and track progress against annual objectives.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by maintaining strong planning, delivery, and stakeholder management standards.
  • Build and maintain internal and external networks to attract top talent.
  • Engage with leadership teams to align team priorities with organizational goals.
  • Support capability-building by embedding best practices across medical planning, impact frameworks, and risk management.
  • Develop and use project management tools, dashboards, and KPIs to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of medical plans.
  • Foster strong partnerships between project managers and global medical leaders to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Stay updated on project management advances and drive adoption of new technologies.
  • Oversee procurement processes and annual statement of work cycles.
  • Support operational delivery and stakeholder engagement in medical and business planning.
  • Ensure medical affairs plans align with broader disease area strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, and other global teams for integrated planning.
  • Monitor and manage budgets in partnership with Finance and business partners.
  • Contribute to setting and achieving therapy area objectives as part of the medical leadership team.
  • Coordinate medical governance preparation and deliver consolidated updates on oncology assets and priorities.

Was du mitbringst

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in Medical Affairs and Oncology.
  • Proven experience leading and coaching high-performing teams and managing change.
  • Strong background in project management.
  • Understanding of core Medical Affairs processes such as medical and scientific engagement planning and data generation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the drug development and commercialization lifecycle.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree (MSc, PharmD, MD, MBA, or PhD) in a relevant discipline.
  • Preferred: Formal project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
  • Preferred: Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
  • Preferred: Experience in transformation or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Preferred: Strong matrix management, facilitation, and project management skills.
