Your tasks
- Set up and lead a precision medicine program for advanced lung diseases.
- Work on clinical, translational, and experimental research projects to improve understanding and treatment of lung diseases like pulmonary fibrosis, emphysema, and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
- Be part of the thoracic surgery team and cover all areas of general thoracic surgery.
- Take part in the lung transplantation program and may lead it in the future.
- Teach and support research, clinical work, and teamwork.
What you bring
- You have board certification in thoracic or cardiac surgery.
- You have clinical leadership experience.
- You have a habilitation or similar academic achievements.
- You have a strong record of research, including third-party funding and publications in international journals.
- You are creative, work well with others, and are committed to research, clinical care, and teaching.
- You speak German at level B2 or are willing to learn it soon.
