You help shape the future of vacuum solutions by partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the best supply capability and capacity for our business needs. You support our global team by driving category management and protecting our brand value.

Your tasks

  • Manage your own material categories, focusing on elastomer, rubber, and plastics, including capacity, knowledge, and performance.
  • Contribute to global direct material and supply base performance (QCD).
  • Represent your direct material categories within the organization.
  • Achieve category goals for cost optimization, supply base optimization, geographic sourcing, and best cost country sourcing.
  • Provide guidance on trends, threats, and opportunities in your categories, such as raw materials.
  • Help align the Direct Materials Category Team with company objectives.
  • Work with business units and engineering on strategic sourcing activities and the PDP process.
  • Act as a change agent with main stakeholders.
  • Develop category sourcing strategies using defined methods and tools.
  • Manage supplier relationships globally in your category, working with teams in Switzerland, Malaysia, and Romania.

What you bring

  • Further education in Procurement or similar; ideally a Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Preferably 4-8 years of strategic sourcing experience with strong knowledge of global category management for direct materials.
  • Experience with electronic sourcing markets and EMS suppliers is a plus.
  • Work experience with category-specific production techniques and processes.
  • Experience in a global, complex organization and understanding of cross-functional and cross-cultural change management.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, ideally in global industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics tools is preferred.
  • Strong people and change management, stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to focus on key facts, get results through others, multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English; good level of German is desirable.
